Afterwards, gold is precipitated from the solution and melted into 90% purity gold bars, which are sent over to another refinery, where they become 99.9% gold pieces.
In some mines, gold is produced as part of the purification process of other metals, such as copper. This is because gold can be found in nature in the composition of particular alloys as well, apart from its native state.
Lastly, you should also know that gold is always recovered by means of recycling, whatever it was used for. This way, we are prolonging the life of our natural gold resources and making sure that we will be able to enjoy the benefits they bring for many years to come.
