Two kinds of foreign exchange market analysis prevail:
1. Fundamental analysis concerns itself with scrutinizing socio-political and economic forces and defining their outcome on the market.
2. When the analysis is conducted especially on the use of charts and graphs to study price movements and to analyze trends, this is called TECHNICAL ANALYSIS.
How do you select the superior anaylsis? Research shows that traders have determined affinity for either one. The technical analysts contend that their method is the best for getting an early cue of price movements.
However, those who approve fundamental analysis will contend that the only drivers of the market prices are socio-political and economic attributes, a fact that has been proven time and again in maximum of the movements. They describe that any association between the charts and real time movements are completely by chance.
But sensibly this does not necessarily appear. Even though economic changes have a whopping effect on the currency markets, it may still be possible to determine patterns in the way that the markets react after a news or in times when there are no major information.
If on the other hand you rely exclusively on your charts, you are likely to be caught out when a crucial financial event such as an interest rate change is unanticipatedly announced. You were not giving regard to the financial news and left a trade open at the wrong moment. That might result in catastrophe.
So the sum and substance is that there are economic occurences behind the larger scale rises and falls in the market, but there are also casual patterns that can be recognized in the short term. Sighting these patterns and trends, while keeping one eye on the economic and political news, is the best technique to predict future price movements. And predicting future price movements, undoubtedly, is the way to make money with foreign exchange trading.
Markets are sometimes chronicled in terms of elasticity as they can move in either direction and fall back to their previous or another position. The aspects that stretch the market are the fundamentals of socio-political and economic forces. How much it will stretch and where and when it will come is the branch of technical analysis.
So when you want to profit from FX trading it is better not to let your thought to become fixed on either one. You must learn to balance the use of both kinds of foreign exchange market analysis to make regular profits.
