Men are naturally workaholics. It is their nature. This is because they are standard provider for the family. In fact, almost all male mammals have the same character. They provide food, water and shelter for their female counterparts.
However, what if your man prioritizes his job more than you and your family? What if he loves cultivating his career than being at home with you to cultivating your relationship as married couples?
If this situation happens, there is indeed a major problem. You should take this as a problem that should be resolve right away because if this problem persists, it will grow like a whole in the heart. What you could do is you could confront him right away. But you should be very calm in confronting with him about the situation. You should tell him how you feel and what you should do in order to solve his lack of time for you and your family.
Narrow down the problem by telling him about certain situations when you feel neglected. Tell him about the time you ask for a date night and he said he has something to do at work. If he explains, listen to him very carefully and spare him the fights. Open your ears to him but at the same time compose a solution to the problem in your head.
Tell him that too much work can be bad for his health. It is true that too much stress can lead to a lot of health problems and he should be aware of. Tell him to give time for exercise. You can also tell him that if he has more time being away from work and being with happy people, he will have less stress and he will be able to deliver well at work instead.
