Many people, today, often choose to study in a different country. There are many reasons for this, most notably that it can be interesting and a lot of fun to absorb a different culture when learning. It might be that you want to study in Japan, a country chosen by many prospective students.

It might be that your school or university offers an exchange program to help you do this, and the process should be made easier, that way. It is good to remember that a Visa will be needed to live and study abroad. You should also ensure that you know all that you need to do before you leave to travel there.
For your studies and so that you know what you need to know about Japan, you will probably be given things to read. There might also be things to know that you need to in order to reside there. You should still think about doing research on the culture, even after you have completed everything that you need to do.
You will need to not only know what life is like as a foreign student, but also what life will be like in general. One very important thing that you will need is your accommodation while living there.
This might be a student dormitory or you may find that you might need to, or even prefer, renting privately. Many universities will offer accommodation for foreign students, whereas other places offer assistance in finding accommodation of your own.
