While one could help you carry the paint and the brushes from the store, others could help you clean or move the furniture. Older children could even be allowed to paint their own rooms according to a set of rules. If you agree to original manifestations allow your younger children to leave impressions of their hands on the walls in different colors than the base color. They will all help you clean the final mess if you are able to convince them that after doing this they will be free to get back to their normal lives.
The idea that paint stinks might make your family members reluctant to participate. But if you buy eco-friendly paint, which doesnt smell at all, everyone will be more eager to help you. A good teamwork will make them proud in the end of the results. Plus your house will look cleaner and rejuvenated.
