When you are training a new puppy to take notice of you, you have to use a pleasant but firm tone of voice. A calm tone of voice lets your puppy know he is doing well, this boosts his confidence but remember; he is only a baby.

Giving a puppy a treat has to be included in his pet diet.
To avoid your puppy from gaining too much weight feed him very small treats when he is learning to obey your commands.
