Another question you must ask yourself, imagine you have bought a low cost security system from an online store or your local DIY outlet, what happens if you have a problem with it, you will probably have to give them it back for a replacement or worse, they will have to send it away for repair, so you will be left with nothing.
You need to think about how vulnerable you're going to be while all this is being all sorted out.
You have to remember that using an established cctv or access control system installer they can come to you and do the repairs there and then and you won't be without your security.
