Many automobile companies offer more energy efficient options like hybrid and electric vehicles. These cars not only save the consumers money, but are also environmentally friendly because they do not deplete the stores of natural resources. Last year, the federal government issued a plan called Cash for Clunkers that pushed drivers of old, fuel-burning cars to replace them with newer, more energy efficient versions for a large reimbursement.
In conclusion, there are many ways that people can benefit from using less energy, and there are a lot of different choices to do so. The bigger the change that individuals make, the more their expenses will decrease. While not all people have the means to trade in their appliances or automobiles right now, everyone can make easy changes, like adjusting the setting of their thermostat. Regardless of what their financial situation may be, everyone is able to benefit from using less energy.
