When the metal is in its molten state it may be poured into the moulds. The metal will then be left to cool back to its solid form. The solid form is called a metal casting.
When it's hard it is stripped away from the mould, this is accomplished in various ways possibly by shaking or stumbling. Once the new casting has been removed from the mould the procedure of cleaning and polishing the casting starts.
