Bluetooth technology has been around since the late 90s. In 1998 various companies decided to come together and form the latest advancement in telecommunications. The Bluetooth Special Interest Group was formed (SIG) was formed by the merger of Ericsson, Intel, Toshiba, IBM, and Nokia. The unusual name is paying tribute to where the company was founded. It was formed in Scandinavia and they decided to name it after one of the more well known Danish Kings Harald Bluetooth from the 10th century. They chose his name because he unified Scandinavia during a time of war and unrest. The Bluetooth device similarly aimed to combine various services and capabilities into one small electronic device.
Bluetooth wireless technology has changed the telecommunications market forever. Utilizing Bluetooths short range radio frequencies one can wirelessly link up two devices from anywhere between 30 to 100 feet. As the technology is refined more that range is surely to increase. Bluetooth is so simple to use that it is the standard in which all wireless programming is developed as.
Using a Bluetooth headset is very beneficial to everyday life. For example trying to take or place a call while driving. Not only is talking on a cell phone will driving illegal it is also very inconvenient and dangerous. You lose the use of one hand and you are at risk of losing control of your vehicle. But with the use of a Bluetooth headset you can easily make phone calls while driving.
Not only will you lose the use of your hand during driving there are a multitude of activities where picking up a phone can impede productivity. A Bluetooth headset will come in handy for many different occasions. Especially for people who work with their hands. They cant afford to lose anytime by not being able to work while talking on the phone.
Even though Bluetooth is a fairly recent introduction to technology it has taken the world by storm. The Bluetooth wireless headset is incredibly useful in everyday life.
