The Island of Menorca is the furthest east of the Balearic Islands, which are located off the coast of Spain. 1. Xoriguer Distillery - This is one for the adults in the group and is located down at the harbour front. Along with a tour of the facility, you can even sample a few of the drinks which are made here including Menorca gin which is known as "Mahon" and which can be purchased from the shop situated at the distillery as well.
2. Cales Coves - These are located a short distance from Mahon and can be reached by catching a bus. Once there you have the choice of either taking one of the guided tours or if you are feeling a little more adventurous exploring them on your own. If you choose the latter option, you will need to make sure that you have a flashlight with you.
3. ES Freginal Park - This Park is located in the very heart of Menorca's capital and provides you with plenty of space to just sit down and relax on a beautiful summer's afternoon. Also, it is here in the summer that the annual Jazz Festival takes place on the stage situated in it.
4. Los Delfines Aquapark - This is the ideal place for the whole family to spend a fun packed day or two whilst staying on the island. It covers an area of 12,500 metres and there are plenty of different water based activities for the whole family to enjoy, no matter their ages. As well as Adventure River and the Giant Toboggan, you may want to give the Hydrotubes a go. Plus for those who are feeling a little braver then going down the Black Hole should satisfy their spirit of adventure.
