Good shopping deals on the internet are the main reason why I use my computer. I have learned over time that when you are searching for a good deal, it usually isn't on the first page of the search results; one way or another those folks on the first page have paid handsomely to be there and those costs get passed on to their customers. When I shop for deals, I go deep. Of course, this means that I encounter quite a bit of internet weirdness. Try searching for "Adult Diapers", for instance; you will find pages of links to websites that cater to adult babies and diaper lovers. I try not to click any of these links; reading the short descriptions for each link is usually enough to keep me away, but the process of filtering all this information is tiring. I just wish they weren't there.
The other day I finally relented and watched an online video about adult babies that originated with a syndicated TV talk show. Hey, how bad could it be if it was on TV, right? Oh, never mind, I know TV is not a moral baseline of any worth, but I watched the video anyway and I was not shocked, nor was I erotically stimulated. The video showed a nice young woman who admitted to wearing baby clothes and yes diapers. She had been doing this for a very long time - even spending her allowance on diapers when she was as young as 6. She explained that this was not a sexual fetish; she was simply seeking comfort. Her male companion said he accepted her behavior because he knew that everyone had eccentricities. Well, I suppose he was right.
I decided to check into this a little further; what was going to be a 5 minute break was going to end up absorbing most of two whole days. There is an official term for this fascination with babyhood: infantilism. According to most psychologists, it is not a disorder, merely an enjoyable fascination. In some cases it might be called an obsession. Infantilism is not a sexual disorder and most of the websites that cater to this fetish are very specific about this, with many warnings against pedophiles or anything sexual.
The predominant theme among these people is the seeking of comfort and child-like happiness through the props of early childhood. Baby play and falling asleep in oversized cribs (I do wonder what the carpenters think when they get these orders) is offered by discreet adult nurseries in some parts of the country. The nuts and bolts of the diaper wearing aspect often do not include wetting or soiling the diaper. There appears to be a very practical side to the average AB/DL. Clean up is a real issue for them, some claiming to find it too difficult to release even their bladder when wearing a diaper. But yes, there are those who do enjoy having their diaper changed by an interested party.
