There are the bouquets and centerpieces and other decorations to take care of. But staying within your budget does not mean that you have to give up something that you simply cannot do without.
Here are some smart ways to reduce the wedding costs by saving money on your Wedding flowers.
1. Plan all the Flower Needs Ahead of Time
Decide beforehand what you will need. That includes the number of bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnières and other floral decorations. Now determine how many flowers of each type are you going to need for all these put together.
2. Shop for Flowers in the Morning
8 a.m. in the morning is a great time to shop for flowers and you are likely to receive a great deal on the flowers then. Bulk buy flowers for bouquets, centerpieces and boutonnières as you had planned earlier.
3. Choose Seasonal Flowers
Choose flower that are easily available during the season you are getting married because you are likely to get them cheaper. You can also opt for roses as they are almost perennially available for affordable prices.
4. Make Your Own Floral Decorations
Enlist the help of friends and family and make the bouquets and decorations yourselves. Cut stems of white roses and wrap with floral tape and use as boutonnières. Make the Bridal bouquet using baby roses, baby’s breath and greens. Make Bridesmaids’ bouquets using assorted seasonal flowers. For simple decorations, use flowers with tall stems and lots of greenery to place in tall vases. 4 or 5 of these will fill up the place quickly. Float roses in water along with candles for centerpieces.
5. Opt for Artificial/Silk Flowers
Maybe you cannot imagine using artificial flowers for your bouquets or boutonnières or corsages, you can easily replace fresh flowers used for the other decorations by artificial flowers. Use silk flowers to make centerpieces, wall decorations, pew décor, head table swags etc. You will also have the advantage of making these beforehand to save time on the wedding day.
With a few smart tips and the help of your friends and family, you should be able to cut your wedding flower expenses by less than half and still have everything you wish to have for your very special day.
