Every year sees the change of fashion styles whether that be in clothes, accessories or bridal dresses. Every year bridal wear fashion designers such as the likes of Vera Wang and Carolina Herrera dazzle the fashion world with bridal dresses which become the must have dress by all the famous and rich future brides. And you may be certain that whatever the rich and famous future bride has, other future brides want to! Each lady desires to feel like a princess or queen on her big day, and she should. It is the one ( and hopefully only) day in which she gets to live her fairy tale, so why should she not look like the trendiest princess around?
In this posting I'll be groing through the most notable trend in bridal dresses for 2012, as well as how to match them with the proper accessories.
Bridal dress trend 2012 This year's bridal dress trend is very romantic and glamorous in an old Hollywood style. The top trend is what has been called the illusionist style. The design is a modification of the strapless classic bridal dress only that thin lace is incorporated around the neckline creating a dress which is semi strapless and semi covered. I believe this trend was inspired by Kate Middleton Duchess of Cambridge, and if you watched the much publicised wedding you'd know precisely which trend I am speaking about.
Kate Middleton's illusionist style dress was unquestionably elegant. It was an ivory coloured gown made of satin gazar, French Chantilly lace and English lace. The lace covered the bodice and created the sleeve of the dress.
The illusionist trend dress is ideal for a winter or summer wedding as the dress can be done with long sleeves or short sleeves or even caped sleeves. Remember though that one of the main reasons why this style of dress is costly is due to all the detail which goes into it. It is a classic and timeless kind of dress which is very romantic.
If this type of dress does not appeal to you but you would still like to be trendy, there's a range of lace dresses which are trending right now in any type imaginable.
Accessories. Pearls and diamante always perform best with lace dresses. Think of antique pieces and chandelier earrings, however word of caution. The sorts of accessories you select depends upon the design of dress you have. If for instance your dress is strapless then you can concentrate on a beautiful neckpiece with small earrings. Your neck piece and ear-rings shouldn't compete for attention.
Also keep the tone of the dress in mind when selecting your accessories. If your dress is ivory then pearls that are ivory would look better than pearls which are white in tone or black pearls. Also don't wear a too chunky piece if your dress has lots of detail.
Keep in mind that with bridal dresses and accessories, balance is everything!
