How to Show Affection to Your Spouse Even if You Are Broke.

It is easy to be romantic when your relationship is just starting to bloom. The longer we are together the harder it gets to be romantic and to show affection to your partner. It is especially hard when you start a family together. Even if you still love each other dearly, it is difficult to be romantic in the midst of diapers, dirty socks and unwashed dishes. Difficult, but not impossible.
Another misconception is that being romantic and showing love requires money. Thankfully, this is not the case, because there are many easy ways how to show love to your significant other without going broke.
Many people associate romance with flowers and chocolates, and while these are nice, there are way other much more creative ways to show love.
How often do you say to your partner that you love them?
It might have been a couple of months ago, maybe a year, or maybe so long ago, that you dont even remember. If this is the case, go tell your partner that you love them right now.
If this is something you do often, may sure you really mean it when you are saying it. Many people say I love you the same way they say how are you, or hi- quickly, mechanically with no expression on their face or in their voice. This makes it almost meaningless.
Show affection to your partner and blow them away with doing something unexpectedly. Go grocery shopping, when it is their turn, or bring a present when he or she is not expecting it. Dont forget to tell them how much you love them when you do this (with feeling, of course).
Feel free to do something crazy. For example, make a painting for your loved one, even if the last time you held a paint brush was in kindergarten. It is not the outcome that matters but the thought. If he or she has a sense of humor, you may try making their portrait.
Surprise your partner by making him/her a bubble bath. Give them a massage without asking anything in return.
One of the most effective ways to show love is to write a list of all the things that you love and appreciate about your partner and share it with them. Dont just give the list to them. Put it in a bouquet of flowers, or read it during a romantic dinner. Be thoughtful when you are writing your list and your partner will be touched.
Remember, that love is also an action and not just a feeling. You dont have to be rich to show love to your partner. All you need is a desire and a little bit of your time.
