Change is unending and inevitable. This maxim holds true for musicians who dare to cross over to the silver screen from the airwaves. Here is a list of ten recording stars who were not only successful at audio recording, but also for their acting acumen. You can find the recordings of all of these performers on internet radio.
Whitney Houston - as young as eleven years of age, Whitney began singing in gospel choir at her New Jersey church. Her self-titled debut album became the best-selling album when it was released, while her second album became the first of her albums to top the US and UK album charts. Her successes in the music industry have helped paved the way for other African-American singers to show their talents.
Apart from being a great music artist, Whitney also made it to the silver screen, starring in "The Body Guard" with Kevin Costner. The movie soundtrack single "I Will Always Love You" has been considered as the best selling single in the music industry's history. On the following year, she continued starring on movies such as "Waiting to Exhale" and "The Preacher's Wife" which she contributed soundtracks to.
Madonna - she has made a trademark of her talents in the show business industry as well as the music industry. Her silver screen appearances include movies such as "Dick Tracy" as a temptress, "Four Rooms" as a lustful coven member and "Swept Away" as a na?ve socialite who got stranded on a remote island. Her most successful film was "Evita", in which she earned a Golden Globe award for her depiction of Eva Peron.
Janet Jackson - at sixteen years old she penned her initial recording contract. Challenged with criticisms, she continued on her way to becoming a successful recording artist. Although she originally appeared on TV series such as "The Jacksons", "Good Times" and "Fame" she made it to the silver screen starring in the movie "Poetic Justice" followed by "Why Did I Get Married" and "For Colored Girls". She was versatile enough to do singing and acting more or less at the same time. You can find Janet's hits on your favorite internet radio station.
Jennifer Lopez - she is probably one of the most talented celebrities combining dancing, singing and acting. Her most successful movies are, "Anaconda" as a director of National Geographic, "Shall We Dance (with Richard Gere as her ballroom dance instructor), and, giving life to "Selena". She has garnered prominence and recognition from various organizations, most notably, the Golden Globe. She was also listed as the 2007 Guinness Book of World Records' most powerful actress.

These are several of many examples of successful recording artists who have also had notable movie careers. Other recording artists that we have not discussed have had great success, while others have had rather dubious movie debuts and have faded into obscurity. Naturally, music-lovers everywhere look forward to many future appearances on the screen by their favorite artists.
