House on Haunted Hill: Boring redo of the 1958 film, with 2 offensive "hosts", a poisonous wedded couple (Hurry, Janssen) having a list of 5 outsiders coming to visit. Each one might receive a million dollars for subsisting the night in a prior psych ward with a bloodstained past. Cast includes Geoffrey Hurry, Famke Janssen, Taye Diggs, Bridgette Wilson, Peter Gallagher, Chris Kattan, Ali Larter, Max Perlich, Jeffrey Combs, and Lisa Loeb. (93 minutes, 1999)
Blood Diamond: In the 1990's Sierra Leone was a very dangerous place. The Rebels were battling with the army, and there were mass killings. Many people were taken and forced to work in the diamond fields. This is the story of one such man, who was removed from his family, and saw his son become a rebel killer. With the acquisition of one huge diamond, he buys his freedom, and brings his family back together, and out of Africa.
Scream 3: As the name implies this is the third movie in the Scream series. Sydney has run away to Northern California, and is in hiding. Back in L.A. they are filming a movie about Sydney's life. When there are a series of killings on the set of the film, Sydney must return to L.A. and help the cops find the killer.
Ghost Rider: Super star motorcycle stuntman Johnny Blaze had made a deal with the devil. He made the deal to protect his loved ones, his father, and Roxanne. Now the devil is back, and Johnny must pay.
Only When I Laugh: A bittersweet Neil Simon comedy in regards to alcoholic actress. Mason battles to stay off the bottle and fix her relationship with teenaged baby girl McNichol. Screenplay is by Simon, loosely based on his play The Gingerbread Female. Cast includes Marsha Mason, Kristy McNichol, James Coco, Joan Hackett, David Dukes, John Bennett Perry, and Kevin Bacon. (120 minutes, 1981)
Flubber: Absent-minded professor Phillip Brainard is working on a revolutionary discovery. When he finally succeeds, the world is introduce to and incredible gooey substance called Flubber. When applied to almost anything, the effect is to massively increase the rebounding qualities of the object, seemingly defying gravity.
Crimson Tide: The USS Alabama has been put to sea. A Russian nuclear submarine is now in the hands of a rebel faction of the old Soviet Union. An order to attack has come down from high command. With the threat of WWIII in the balance, the Captain, and the Lt. Commander disagree on the best course of action to take.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith: A chance meeting that turns quickly romantic ends in marriage for Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They no nothing about each other, and ironically both are in the same business. They are hired killers. Eventually turned on each other, there marriage, and lives are put to the ultimate test.
Accattone: Accattone is an unforgiving expose of the lives of the crooks and pimps in the ghettos of Roma. In particular we follow the life of Vittorio Accattone, a pimp whose life is coming unraveled. He becomes a pitiful figure trying to find his way. Franco Citti, Franca Pasut, Roberto Scaringella, and Adele Cambria are the stars. (1961 Foreign-Italian)
