Dreamweaver, a Wonderful Web Designing Software
Go to: Previous Article Next Article
Dreamweaver is a common Web Editor that is broadly used to put together professional looking websites. It is used by experienced web designers as well as by those who have never designed a website before.
The tool allows you to design one page or more page websites by using a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) editor. It allows you to have full control of the function and design of the site. These are necessary, as most likely you will have to make changes to the pages, as the new business continues to grow.
Some of the Functions of Dreamweaver
Create Your Site. The editor allows you to start off with a blank page so that you can design the page from scratch, precisely the way you need it. It allows you to construct tables, forms, menus, photo galleries, pop-up windows, play music and much more.
View Your Webpage Before Publishing. Then once you have constructed the website and like what you see in the program, you can preview the new pages in many browsers. The awesome thing with the program is that you do not need to download the various browsers, as it has a browser lab which allows you to examine your site on multiple browsers.
Why would you need to preview your new pages in different browsers? I do not know all the technical reasons behind this, but each browser will give a slightly distinctive view of your new site. Hence you want to critique the pages in at least the most famous browsers to verify that everything matches. From my experience it was most often the margins that would be off, and had to be re-aligned or re-positioned so that they would look right in all browsers.
Uploading your webpages. Then when you are satisfied with the way that your new page looks in all the different browsers you may then upload it to the world wide web.
Preparation
As with any software program, you will need to know how to use the tool in order to be able to put the new site together. The company has designed some fantastic video tutorials that take you through the steps on how to use the software program, how to put together the new web pages and upload it to the world wide web. These tutorials will explain to you how to create a new document, how to add pictures and hyper links, and how to use style sheets and much more.
Additionally, they also supply their users with an interactive forum where they can go and ask any questions and have them answered by other users.
30-Day Trial
Dreamweaver is an exceptional program, however, it is on the costly side. However, you can download a free trial to check out whether or not the software program is right for you. After the 30 days are elapsed you will be urged to purchse the software program if you want to continue to use software program. In this way you really have nothing to lose, when you try it out.
