Like any other amateur photographer, I've been using point-and-shoot digital cameras for years. I've always wanted to get a digital SLR camera but it's only now that I got the nerve and the money to finally get myself one. I read tons of reviews and articles on which digital SLR cameras would be best suited for a beginner such as myself, and I finally settled on getting a Pentax SLR camera, the K200D.
I have several reasons for choosing the 10.2-megapixel Pentax K200D. Below are some of them.

I don't really plan on testing it out, but hey, it's good to know that my camera has environmental sealing. Another reason is that the K200D allows you to save RAW and high-quality JPEG images at the same time. The other models I looked at and considered didn't have this feature and only allowed RAW and medium JPEG simultaneous image-saving.
The HP digital camera suggestions for a camera priced between two and three hundred dollars would include the R847 and the R937. Both have 8 megapixels, three times optical zoom and eight times digital zoom.
The viewing screen on the R847 is three inches and the R937 is three and a half inches. All of these HP cameras come with video and manual controls as well as many different shooting modes.
