Due to some reason, it is beginning to feel like like human beings have got some kind of addiction to the 'addiction' itself. Almost each of apparently normal individual is now an addict to something. In control, these things can be very helpful and beneficial inspite of being harmful. For instance, being tech savvy is helpful but nowadays there are many who are addicts to latest technological gadgets and gizmos. They would buy anything that has even the most distant association with their likable device. That is why there is such a demand for a MacBook Replacement screen and iPad Parts nowadays. Yet, another addiction that is involved with the age of technology is Video game addiction.
From the very first arcade game of Pacman to the most real-life 3D games, video games have always been hard to resist. Once you have the joy pad in your hands, it is impossible to control your desire to keep on playing. but, for few people this desire can change into an extreme case of addiction. There have been reported cases of individual who have continuously spent more than three days playing their beloved video game. Yet, there are cases worst than this in this aspect. There are a lot of cases where video games have caused actual deaths. There always a lot of controversy regarding the sadistic and destructive nature of most action games. According to researchers, murdering people brutally in the virtual world bores insensitivity in the players and they can possibly attempt such violence in real life. Let us take a look at some of the most awful real deaths that are linked to video games.
Just recently, a Korean couple was arrested by the police after their three month old infant daughter died due to dehydration and malnourishment. The couple was found addicted to a MMO game which they used to play continuously whole night. The couple ignored the needs of their child while looking after a virtual baby in the game which was found to be completely healthy, well looked after and happy.
One very well known rather than criticized death is linked to an online Multi-player strategy game in which a man lent his virtual sword to his friend. The friend sold the virtual sword for a good amount of money. The man who actually owned the sword couldn't find any other virtual arm left so he decided to use a real knife to stab his treacherous fellow to death.
A young thirteen year old boy jumped off a twenty four-story building after being helplessly fanatical by an online multiplayer game and other players (warriors). He wrote a note which was written from his virtual warrior's point of view and he wrote that he couldn't wait to meet his gaming friends (the virtual characters) and therefore to travel to the afterworld. Other than these cases, there are a lot incidents of death due to video games for example, the addicts passed away because of an insufficient diet or a sudden hypertension.
