Wind turbine systems have been used for centuries worldwide providing energy to grain mills and well pumps primarily and contains only been recently which they are engineered for use in generating electricity. The continual improvements that are being implemented into the designs of these systems are very quickly out pacing those of solar energy systems with new inverter designs, braking systems and generators making them far more reliable year round. However, their price tags can be somewhat higher than those found in solar energy systems but because of their higher energy generation volume replace any financial shortcoming. To their credit the energy generation capabilities they offer can by far outpace that of solar energy systems primarily because the wind unlike the sun does not stop generating energy when the earth slips into the night.
