In today's world, the word, "impossible," appears to have disappeared because the advancements in technology have made Macbook repair or Macbook screen repair a task of a split second. This technology has given birth to several miracles. One such miracle in the field of robotics is an Android.
An android is a machine that is made in a manner to look like humans not just in appearance, but also in response. The name android won't be unfamiliar to all those Star Trek fans. This human-like machine has been shown occasionally in several forms of literature and movies. Until recently, android was thought to be a fiction, however, it's not. It's enchanting to note that the thought of an android was initially fiction.
According to the fictional world, the main difference between an android and robot is their mere appearance. A robot is just an adjustable machine whereas; the android consists of a human outlook with robot-like interior mechanisms. In some fictional plots, an android is presented as a completely organic, yet an artificial creation. However, in some instances it has been shown as a blend of both robotic and organic creatures.
Despite these differences, one thing remained similar in all androids, and that was the availability of good artificial intelligence. They are shown to be mentally and physically higher to humans in which case they talk, move and react in the same fashion as we do. The tendency of an android to think and work on its own is also a exceptional one as opposed to any previous robots.
So now we know that an android shows several different kinds of synthetically manufactured beings. It is a robot that very much resembles a human, a cyborg that looks like a human and finally a synthetically created purely organic being that resembles a human. Although the android was not real, it still has some real presence. Mentioned below are some of the applications of androids that have recently started to show up in our lives.
Humanoid Robot
This is a whole robot with a human-like body. Most humanoid machines possesss a torso, head, two hands alongwith two legs just like humans. Some of the humanoid machines are also made with a face, eyes and mouth.
Industrial Robots
This is basically an automatically manipulated machine that can even be reprogrammed for multiple purposes. In the more broader sense, the area of industrial robotics is the study, design and use of robotic functions for manufacturing and the devices also possesss arms that can shift things faster and more easily than humans.
Robotic Surgery
Robotic surgery uses robots to undertake some critical surgeries in many hospitals. The objective is to conduct remote surgery in a less invasive way. The biggest use of robotic surgery is how more accurate and miniaturized it is.
These were just a few applications of how androids are making their way into our lives. With androids staying to be a fascination for humans, there is a possibility that all future robots will look something like them.
