By the way of podcasts, customers can view and listen to information about self storage facilities and on everyday basis, find new things.
What All Can You Tell On A Podcast
Specific features of the self storage services can be discussed on these storage podcasts. They can decide which qualities are more important to their needs. They can decide whether they value security more or location and convenience are the top priorities. For most of the people security features on top the list, so it would be beneficial for the storage facility to tell the customers more about their security features, what security company they employ, what kind of locks and alarms are used, how fast is their reaction to lapses in security and what fire and weather safety features are installed in their storage facilities.
The podcasts can carry interesting stories told by the actual customers, how the storage facility was useful and what features attracted them the most. For example, the podcast may talk about open car storage. In this, customers use an open, outdoor facility where cars are parked. Now, they may tell about their experience about how safe there car parking was, was there a 24 hour video surveillance, did they find their car in the same condition as they left it, etc?
Why Is It Effective
A person can decide whether a particular facility for open storage of vehicles is safe and worth the rent they are charging. Listening to their views, in actual voices, not just text, listening to a person speak about his or her experiences or watching a video of the same gives a prospective customer much more confidence and reliability on what is being told.
Although podcasts are much less in number as compared to blog entries for self storage options, yet they are bound to make a great impact on the people going through them. As an owner of a storage facility, it will be beneficial for you to post podcasts at regular intervals on your site. You may update it every few days or say twice a week. Then people, who are seriously following the latest happenings in self storage area, will definitely come across your self storage podcasts and thus more interest will be generated in your facility.
Another important area for discussion is the pricing or the rent that you charge. You should be able to justify the rent that you are charging for the storage, by telling people about the exclusive features of your facility. Your prices should be competitive and safety and security features flawless. If you are charging a bit more than the industry standard, you must be able to explain why you are doing so, so tell them about the latest expensive climate control system or security alarm system that you have installed.
On the other hand, if your rent is slightly low, then also tell them how you are able to manage the costs without compromising on the quality. Thus podcasts give you the platform to discuss and put forward your and your customer’s point of view. If you write a lot of text, no one will have the time to read all that. A two minute podcast can tell them much more about your storage facility that a two-page article or blog can!
