Should You Buy Resveratrol?
Go to: Previous Article Next Article
Ever since 60 Minutes profiled two scientists who had discovered and isolated the active component in red wine responsible for so many of its health benefits, there's been a downright feeding frenzy among people who want to buy Resveratrol.
(This has led to a whole host of problems for people who want to buy Resveratrol supplements, and it means that you have to be extra careful in where you order it from. But I don't want to get ahead of myself -- we'll cover this important topic in a minute.)
Resveratrol supplements are, in fact, one of the hottest supplements on the market today. It's certainly easy to grasp why. According to that story on 60 Minutes, the mice who took resveratrol supplements seemed to slow down the aging process in the studies the researchers did.
Now understand that of course I'm not saying that they actually did get younger -- that would be impossible. I think it's important that you take a look at that video -- links to it are above. This is where you'll see the evidence that the ones who took resveratrol just did better on both physical and mental challenges time and again.
This actually led to a lot of very reputable news organizations extolling the benefits of Resveratrol, and even caused a major U.S. pharmaceutical giant to buy the firm headed by the researchers who initially found resveratrol.
So it's pretty obvious why resveratrol is this such a big deal. In fact, if only a portion of what the researchers who initially studied resveratrol say it can do turn out to be true, this could very well turn out to be the biggest step forward for anyone who really wants to look and feel their best, but who doesn't care to become a gym rat.
There are many additional benefits that have been mentioned that are way beyond the obvious things like weight loss and an increase in physical stamina. Lots of people contend that resveratrol is a great way to help control cholesterol, protect against cancer, and boost your metabolism levels.
So sure, with all of this evidence and the experiments and the lab studies and all of that, running out and buying resveratrol might seem like the obvious choice?
Well, of course it's totally up to you to decide. But what I will say is that if you want to be among the many thousands who are doing it, it's very important that you stick with a Resveratrol supplement that you know is high-quality.
