If learning about health and fitness is new to you, it may seem a daunting task to get through all of it. As a beginner we are easily overwhelmed which can be exacerbated when you can't figure out what is true and what isn't. One of the first things you'll notice is that fitness books are most usually written by those who have personal experience or knowledge of the subject. Yoga won't help, however, if your back pain is due to bone problems like an issue with a spinal disc. In this kind of situation, you risk doing more damage by practicing yoga.
