People who experienced arthritis commonly feel pain. Arthritis is very common especially to adults. It is a disease caused by damaged joints in different parts of the body. The primary symptom of arthritis is pain. Different parts of the body that are affected by arthritis can become permanently disabled. There are different types of arthritis. Most of them cannot be cured; however, there are treatments that can be effective in treating arthritis.
Rheumatoid Arthritis is a serious type of arthritis. For some unknown reasons the body's own immune system starts to attack body tissues. This disease affects different parts of body including joints in wrist, fingers, and elbow; if not treated this results in deformity. Mostly, rheumatoid arthritis attacks adults aged 20 and above. This disease cannot be cured, yet can be prevented from causing degeneration.
Osteoarthritis is another form of arthritis. It affects both larger and smaller joints in the body and unlike rheumatoid arthritis it often affects elderly aged 65 and above. However, like rheumatoid arthritis, this disease cannot be cured. In some ways, doctors can only prevent the condition from worsening. Symptoms starts at minor pain while walking, but soon the pain will continue even at night.
The third common form of arthritis is known as psoriasis. This disease occurs on the skin as skin problem. The person who has psoriasis will eventually experience joint pain, swelling, and stiffness. Most often, this disease may cause the affected part of the body to lose its functions.
Another severe form of arthritis is called Gout. Gout symptoms include intense pain on the joint especially on the big toe. It is also an untreatable type of arthritis. It is caused by too much uric acid that destroys bones in the body.
Infectious arthritis is a severe form of arthritis. Some bacteria in the body cause this condition. It must be treated as soon as possible to prevent and permanently avoid joint damage.
Juvenile idiopathic arthritis is the most common form of arthritis in children. Children who contract the disease before age 16 will not complain about the symptoms but sooner the effects will occur. The effects are the same as what with arthritis adults feel - joint pains, swelling, and stiffness of joints. Parents must be alert when they notice their child acting unusually and stop doing activities they usually do.
If symptoms of arthritis occur, do not hesitate to see your doctor. It is better to check it while in the early stage before it totally damages some vital parts of your body.
