Is Beef Grass Fed The Way To Go?

More and more people are opting to eat more consciously. Now a days, with the different research concerning our health and diet, it's just natural to be more health conscious. Being healthy doesn't mean you have to quit eating meat. For example, beef is a great source of protein and other nutrients. Having it in your diet is a good idea, as long as you keep the proportions balanced. If you're a meat lover like me, I'm sure you can think of a couple of ways to prepare a good piece of beef... whether roasted or boiled for hours in a stew, choosing fresh and high-grade ingredients to go with your meat is very important. Before thinking about the ingredients that will accompany your meat, ask yourself first, how good is your beef?

The beef you use has to be a premium quality. Beef grass fed is supposed to be premium quality, healthier and tastier than that that comes from grain fed cows. Those who love meat, and food connoisseurs, say that grass fed cattle have better immune systems, which means that they don't have to have antibiotic injections as their grain fed neighbors do. Because these animals don't have to have antibiotics or other unnecessary chemicals given to them, this beef can be deemed organic. Grass fed beef is also leaner compared to that you get from grain fed cows, and the grass itself is usually very well taken care of, too. Only organic fertilizers, such as fish oil, are added to the soil, so that the only fertilizers and foods the cattle are exposed to are organic; this makes me much leaner.

Grain fed cattle are fed diets that are specifically geared to make them gain weight, and they are actually fed more than they need to eat. In fact, they are given grains before slaughter specifically so that they will gain weight. This is good for business, because this gives meat producers more pounds of meat and therefore more profits, but consumers are the ones who lose out. This is very fatty beef, in contrast to grass fed beef; beef grass that is leaner, as stated previously, and it's also much higher in omega-3 fatty acid content, which is something you want to look for. Omega-3 fatty acids are very important to our diets, because they lower blood pressure and may protect us from cancer. Beef grass fed is also much higher in natural vitamin E than regular beef is. Conventional beef does have high levels of vitamin E, but that vitamin E is synthetic as opposed to the natural form available in organic beef. When it comes to choosing between natural and synthetic, natural is always better.

Finally, beef grass fed is also high in conjugated linoleic acid, or CLA. CLA is very beneficial to us, beef consumers, because it's very high in antioxidants and may also protect us from cancer. In fact, researchers believe that CLA may stop cancer tumors' formation. It also gives the metabolism a boost, which is why organic beef especially is considered a fat burner. Many fat burner recipes with beef in them do contain organic beef just because of this. Beef grass fed is so superior to beef that comes from grain fed cows, in a myriad of different ways. Today, beef grass fed is available almost everywhere, and it's very good for you. Beef has gotten a bad rap in the past, but that's not true of organic beef grass fed. You can certainly enjoy this healthy option.

In a few words Beef Grass Fed is a great option for you.
