You should be able to decide what you want as well as where YOU want to stay, not where the package tells you where to stay! You shouldn't have to pay for "perks" that you won't be using just because they're part of the package.
* Lastly, it never hurts to find out if there are any available discounts on anything in your package. You may want to research for your trip before you book anything!
