Scottish Cottages on The Burns Heritage Trail
Spend a day discovering the history of Scotland’s National Poet, Robert Burns on the Burns Heritage Trail before returning to the comfort of your self-catering Scotland holiday home in Ayrshire.
We have a selection of cottages in Scotland along the trail and in Burn’s birth town of Alloway, including this beautiful cottage sleeping up to 4 people with it’s own a private garden situated just yards from the world famous Burns Cottage and Museum (property reference AY142). This self-catering Scotland holiday home is also just ten miles away from Culzean Castle which was rebuilt in 1777 under Robert Adam’s classical eye on the site of a 14th century fortress, on a cliff-top. The surrounding gardens and grounds form Scotland’s first country park and contain a swan pond.
Another one of our Scottish cottages in the very heart of Burn’s country is this delightful cottage sleeping up to 6 people in the village of Coylton near Ayr (property reference AY139). This cottage is situated on a farmstead, and it’s the only one of our cottages in Scotland where you can wake up to the smell of freshly cooked bread from the farmhouse bakery!
