In the beginning, create a single webpage with only one focus your e-book. For marketing information products, a single page website is perfect. The only link on that page should be the buy it now button. They have only two choices, to buy or not to buy.
It seems shocking in this day of "bigger is better", but a single page website with only one button is the best way to sell your e-book online. if your site has many links, your visitors will probably depart before they even consider whether to purchase your e-book. I have quite a few products listed on my website. However, my biggest and best products are sold using a single page website its the best way, period.
Your website may have only one page, but certain information absolutely must be there. Find a great title, one that demands attention. Make it short and sweet. The average web surfer stays on a site for only seconds before moving on, and you only have one chance to get their attention. So write a title with them in mind. Define their problem and offer your solution.
Get their attention quickly with something like, "I was shocked that the average wedding in 2005 cost thirty thousand dollars." Your visitors will start thinking to themselves, "Whoa, I didnt know it cost that much. I better read on to see if theres something I can do about this."
Dont underrate the importance of your title, or headline. This will either grant your visitors attention or send them yawning to the next site. The only way to sell your e-book is to capture their attention and encourage them to buy.
