Enablers To The Left and Enablers To The Right

I got home late last night after making a road run for my daughters 20th birthday. My job was simple; show up with a pocket full of cash, and lay it down whenever it was appropriate, such as after lunch, dinner and breakfast for her, and a gaggle of friends.
All their outward appearances suggested they didn't seem hungry, but when the waitress took their order it was a different story altogether. They had Thai food, American food, and everything they could put in their mouths at IHOP, they were so gluttonous. Not only that, they also brought doggie bags with them like I carry tools.
I have never spent any time in her flat, maybe because there were things that I don't like to learn about. Her house is so messy and there were a lot of things that needed to be fixed. In fact, the old lady had listed them, but the checklist somehow ended in my shredder. Because for me, she's at the right and able age, and it falls under my category of: Her house, her problem.
At twenty, you are already capable of figuring something on your own, think of a solution to fix simple or complex problems. For example, a broken vacuum cleaner, the solution is simple; either having it fixed or get a new one.
The old lady says to me, Their kitchen floor is dirty.
And I said, "So, what then?"
"Well, they need a new mop," she said.
And my response is, They'll figure it out.
I swear, if I hadn't put her in headlock and duct taped her to her seat, she would be down there this morning cleaning the mess.
She hadn't known the Big Kahuna child raising Rule 1, which states that no amount of energy shall be expended on cleaning any child's dwelling after age 12. At that age, they are already capable of handling chores on their own.
They can live in a chaotic, filthy and messy house that smells of Captain Morgan's Rum, beer, Cigarettes, Pizza, BO and old doggie bags, but not me. Let them be, I don't have to live there or eat anything from their fridge, or look for a clean plate and a glass to use.
Not my problem. Been there, done that. One day the three who occupy the digs will wake up and decide that they may need to clean up a tetch. They'll get everything all nice and sparkly, and then there will be another party, and it will look like it did when we arrived.
I got a lot of emails from many of you updating me of what is going on in the world, since I made my oath to lay low for a while, actually for 40 days and 40 nights. One thing I have gathered from many of you is that the Obama Party has been pledging for a tax cut for 95% of Americans, which is an immense load of crap. Obama knew this from the start, but he kept on taking the message to the unwary.
When the federal government cuts the federal income tax, but then adds stealth taxes on gasoline, cigarettes, alcohol, and every other conceivable item you can think of, then it really isn't a tax cut at all. Now add in that local municipalities, and states, are raising their taxes, and you have a net tax increase. Do you actually believe he didn't know this going in?
He refused to do anything about earmarks, he also refused to make any budget cuts as he promised before that he will go through every item on the budget and take out what is not necessary. He has mortgaged your grandchildren's future for loads of unfulfilled promises.
