Port, sherry and brandy are not things most people might have lying about the house so having a bottle or two in a hamper is a good way to be able to offer guests something to drink after their meal. Perhaps you might even like to get a bottle of wine in a hamper to go with your Christmas meal. Port is a good accompaniment for a cheese board served at the end of your meal or another liqueur might be nice to be served with the coffee at the end of a meal.

Coffee from around the world is nice to be able to serve at the end of your meal but make sure you get the right type for your kitchen equipment as whole beans are not much good if you don't have something to grind them and then percolate the grounds afterwards.
