At a certain point, you will find that you cannot push yourself any farther without crossing over to a territory that is unsafe. In fact, when the caffeine buzz wears off, you may find yourself feeling even worse. If you are truly sleep deprived, energy drinks and coffee may only leave you feeling jittery and nauseous.

Often drivers think that energy drinks and coffee can keep them awake all night. While this may have worked when you were in college, as we get older, pulling an all-nighter becomes less and less possible. Your body needs its rest. Even when you are on vacation, you want to stay alert. While caffeinated drinks may work for awhile, eventually your body really will need to rest. At a certain point, energy drinks will just leave you jittery and unfocused.

It is important that you access why you are driving late at night and consider if it is really necessary and worth it.
