There are a lot of advertisements in the Internet stating that they are offering their criminal background checks service for free. But when you click on the link or browse through their site you are redirected to other sites. After browsing for hours you find out that the acclaimed free criminal background checks are not free at all! Wanting that free criminal background checks you browse and browse until you are already exhausted.
After sometime of reading and researching you come to realize that free means you perform the criminal background checks on your own. By asking around, going to the places where the individual you want to investigate worked and all that. But that is impossible especially when you do not have an experience doing it.
Those free criminal background checks advertisements are very misleading. It also causes users to be frustrated and it is a waste of time for anyone. Browsing through their whole site and ending up with no positive results is just frustrating. Especially so when you went through the process of signing up, filling out forms and then at the end they will ask you for a “small fee”. That is just plain scam!
There might be some sites that really provide their criminal background checks for free but the records that they give you might be outdated. And it does not tell anything important about the individual being investigated. Others may give you the information you need but it might not be complete and when you ask for additional information that is the time they are going to charge you with that “small fee”. You might also be given a complete and detailed report but you are not sure if that record belongs to the individual you are investigating which can be very dangerous.
It is true that nowadays there is no such thing as “free”. Everything has something to do with money and getting rich. Those advertisements are just a way to attract browsers to visit their site and for them to hit some points in ranking. Performing criminal background checks online can be fast and easy but you have to check the company’s credibility, go with a reliable one. You can also try to do it the hard way which is either by hiring a private investigator or going to the court house and all that. This way you are sure that the information you have is accurate and true.
